What if God Placed You in Business for Such a Time as This?
A Verse That Calls Us Out of Hiding
"For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. And who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this?" — Esther 4:14
Esther’s story and her spiritual journey have always inspired me, especially when I’ve had doubts in my business. Her testimony invites us to cling to hope, dare to face fear and uncertainty, and trust in God.
It’s a classic hero’s tale: a young Jewish orphan woman who had every reason to stay quiet, to protect herself, to blend in. Yet, at Mordecai’s urging, she realized that her position as queen might not be a coincidence. Perhaps, just perhaps, she was placed there by God for such a time as this—and in that moment, our heroine stepped into her God-given purpose.
What I love about Esther’s story, and how it relates to Christian women in the online space, is that it teaches us true strength comes from God, not ourselves, and that we should be prepared to make sacrifices to stand up for what’s right.
Trust me when I tell you I need to hear that message as much as anyone. The first time I hit “publish” on my very first blog post, or when I pressed record on my first YouTube video my heart was pounding, my palms were sweaty, and I thought to myself, “Who am I to do this?”
I didn’t feel qualified.
I didn’t feel ready.
And I was so afraid of what people might think. But deep down, I knew God had placed this on my heart. Just as Esther, I had a choice: to stay silent or step forward in faith.
That small moment of courage opened the door to everything I’m building now.
And as I think about you, my sister in Christ, who is building or dreaming of creating an online business—I can’t help but hear the echo of this verse for you too.
You may not wear a crown or live in a palace, but you have been placed in this moment of history, with your unique gifts, with the tools of the modern age available to you, and with this platform—on purpose.
The question is: will you remain silent, or will you step into your calling?
1. Divine Timing: Your Business Is Not a Coincidence
When Esther was crowned queen, it seemed like coincidence, but God’s hand was at work in the background, arranging her position for a greater purpose.
Your business idea, your longing to do something meaningful online, is not random either. God is a God of timing. And He has positioned you in the age of the internet, where voices spread further and faster than ever before.
Consider this: the Apostle Paul traveled on foot and by ship, enduring dangerous journeys, to spread the gospel. Today, you and I have the ability to share encouragement, wisdom, and truth with people around the globe at the click of a button.
That’s not coincidence—that’s divine timing.
Your Christian heart and presence online is needed in today's world.
Your business and your unique God inspired voice can be a beacon of light and truth in a marketplace filled with self-promotion, hustle culture, and empty promises.
2. Courage to Act: Choosing Faith Over Fear
Esther’s decision to approach the king without being summoned may have cost her life. This decision wasn’t safe, and it wasn’t easy. I can only imagine the swirl of fear, self-doubt, and overwhelm in her heart—but her heart was also full of God, His promise, and His guidance.
Esther chose courage over fear, obedience over self, trusting that God had placed her there for a reason.
We may not face physical danger in showing up online, but courage is still required.
- Courage to speak openly about faith when it’s not always popular.
- Courage to share your story, even when you feel unqualified.
- Courage to put your business into the world, knowing there will be critics.
Here’s the truth: inaction is still a choice. Staying silent may feel safe, but it also means withholding the very gifts God has entrusted to you.
Your audience, your future clients, the people you’re called to serve, they need you. And they don’t just need polished perfection; they need your authenticity.
3. Responsibility & Opportunity: The Weight of Influence
Esther had influence as a queen, whether she chose to use it was up to her. Mordecai reminded her that if she stayed silent, deliverance would still come—but she would miss the opportunity to be part of God’s plan.
That same responsibility rests on us today. If we stay silent online, God will still move. His Kingdom purposes will not fail. But we will miss the opportunity to partner with Him, to step into the story He is writing through our lives.
Your online business isn’t “just business.” It’s influence.
- Every product you create.
- Every blog post you write.
- Every video you upload.
- Every social post you share.
All of it carries the potential to encourage, inspire, and point people back to God.
Opportunity knocks, but it also carries responsibility. Esther’s moment came, and she stepped up.
Yours is here too.
4. Your Unique Calling: God Gave You Gifts for a Purpose
No one else has your exact blend of gifts, passions, and experiences. God designed you intentionally.
Maybe your gift is teaching.
Maybe it’s encouragement.
Maybe it’s creativity—writing, design, or speaking.
Maybe it’s problem-solving or guiding others.
Whatever it is, it matters.
Your business isn’t separate from your faith—it’s a vehicle for it—a way for your gifts to meet the world’s needs.
Don’t fall into the trap of thinking, “Who am I to do this?” Instead, ask, “Who am I not to do this if God has placed me here, now, for such a time as this?”

5. The World Needs More Christians Speaking Online
We are living in a noisy age. The internet is crowded with voices selling quick fixes, chasing fame, and promising overnight success.
But what if more Christians stepped into this space? What if more women of faith started using their businesses as platforms for encouragement, truth, and hope?
Imagine the ripple effect:
- Families united and strengthened because of your message.
- Communities blessed and impacted because of your products or services.
- Hearts opened and turning toward Christ because you chose to speak up.
The world doesn’t need fewer Christian voices—it needs more. And your business could be the very way God chooses to spread His light into places only you can reach.
Conclusion: For Such a Time as This
Faithful Sister, you have been positioned on purpose.
Your business dream is not random.
Your influence—big or small—is not meaningless.
Like Esther, you face a choice: remain silent, or step forward in courage.
The world needs more Christian women building businesses with integrity, courage, and faith. And maybe God has been whispering to you all along: “Who knows but that you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”
Stay Blessed,

God has placed you in this season, with special gifts, for a reason. Just as Esther’s role as queen was not accidental, your role as a Christian woman in business is intentional. Don’t underestimate the influence of your obedience.
🙏Prayer:
Lord, give me the courage of Esther; help me to see my business as part of Your plan and to use my voice boldly for Your Kingdom. May I step forward in faith, trusting that You have called me for such a time as this. Amen.
